I kindly request payment immediately upon purchase. Transactions will be cancelled after five days of non-payment. Should you have any problems with the payment process, please contact me. I reserve the right to refuse a transaction for any reason.



Privacy Policy


Your Information


You provide me with your information when you:


  • Custom order artwork.
  • If you contact me directly.
  • Purchase from my web shop.


To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information i.e. your name, email address, postal address, payment information along with the details of the product that you’re ordering.  For custom orders you may contact me directly and choose to provide me with additional personal information at your discretion.


Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It


I rely on a number of legal frameworks to collect, use, and share your information, including as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide you with customer support; when you have provided your affirmative consent (which you may revoke at any time) such as by signing up for my mailing list; if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, for instance, providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services.


Information Sharing and Disclosure


Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.

Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith or believe that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.


Data Retention


I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 5 years.


Your Rights


If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.

Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.

You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

Shipping


Items purchased are sent to you via registered Australia Post (express post is used if requested by the customer, the customer is responsible for its payment) for larger paintings a professional courier service is used. International orders will be sent via 'Registered International' with Australia Post and a signature will be needed on collection. 


Prints/original artwork are either packaged in a mailing tube or sent flat with backing on both sides and bubble wrapped. Silk scarves are carefully packed with tissue paper and bubble wrapped for safety. All artwork is carefully packaged and sent in a box or satchel. Australian based Orders, please permit at least two weeks for delivery.


International Buyer The artwork will be sent Registered International with Australia Post and a signature will be needed on collection. 

You are responsible for all duty taxes, customs and quarantine requirements that your country may have. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to pay any duties and search out any restrictions that may be associated with purchasing this artwork.


Overseas customers, delivery time can range from as little as 2-3 weeks, but can also take up to 6 weeks to some locations.


Return Policy

Though I try to describe my artwork accurately, please bear in mind that monitors may vary and cause variations in tones and colours of the artwork. Customer satisfaction is important at KiranDesigns. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact me.

Artwork (prints, original art and silk scarves) must be returned within 14 days of dispatch for customers residing in Australia and New Zealand. All other customers must return artwork within 21 days. Full refund will be given if the returned artwork meets the following criteria:

  • Artwork must be in original, saleable condition with all tags attached.
  • Silk must not be worn, damaged, altered or washed.
  • Provide the original invoice as proof of purchase.

Artwork can be returned by mail. Return shipping and postage is the responsibility of the purchaser. Return Shipping charges are nonrefundable. KiranDesigns® reserves the right to refuse the return of any artwork that does not meet the return requirements. Don’t forget to inform me of any item you return and to mail the artwork securely, as I will not accept damaged artwork. KiranDesigns® will not be held accountable for any missing or late incoming deliveries.

Customers are responsible for the return of merchandise and the return post cost. Therefore it is recommended that you get in touch with me and ensure that the artwork is well packed and an insured traceable method is used to ensure safe and recorded delivery.

Care Instructions


Original Artwork & Fine Art Prints

Original artwork is created using archival high quality art materials, while fine Art Prints are made using archival quality paper and inks. They are made to last. However, prolonged direct sunlight will have an effect on the prints and artwork on paper. If you are hanging a print/artwork on paper in a position where it is hit by direct sunlight for a large part of the day, then you might consider having it framed with UV glass.

Silk Scarves/Paintings

KiranDesigns® silk scarves and silk paintings come with care instructions clearly marked on its label. All silk scarves and paintings have detailed care instructions that are easy to follow. KiranDesigns® silk scarves and silk paintings are gentle hand wash items using detergent used for delicate fabrics.

Depending upon the designs and the creative processes involved, some items will be suitable for dry cleaning only. This is clearly marked on the label. Please follow the instructions on the label carefully to prolong the longevity and enjoyment of your silk scarves/garments.


Caring For Your Silk Artwork/Garments


Hand Washing             Your silk scarf can be hand washed in tepid water using a mild detergent used for delicate fabrics.

Rinsing                        To ensure the longevity and continued shine of your silk garment, I recommend you add a few                                      tablespoons of distilled white vinegar to the water to neutralise alkali traces and dissolve soap residue.

Drying                         Once washed and rinsed do not wring or twist instead lay the scarf on a towel. Then roll up the towel with                                      the scarf in it and then tightly twist the rolled up towel to remove any excess water from the scarf. Unroll                                      the towel, remove the scarf, give it a good shake to remove the wrinkles and then lay it flat on a towel to                                      dry. Dry the silk scarf in shade only.

Ironing                         Your silk scarf can be ironed on a silk setting if necessary. Place a clean, moist muslin/cotton tea towel on                                      top of your silk before you start to iron. Avoid spraying your silks with perfume as this may cause spotting.
